Concept Study.

The global health systems are struggling with the COVID-19 pandemic. Many hospitals could reach the limits of their capacities and some already have. Making active protection of the population is a key issue.

Therefore EDERA SAFETY decided to conduct a three day design sprint in order to develop a mask with an emphasis on aesthetics, whilst retaining the functionality of a type 2 face mask.

Mask Features:

• The adjustable silicone seal creates a reliable barrier, and the medical grade porous fabric keeps the mask breathable whilst preventing ingress of harmfull viruses.

• Humidity from prolonged breathing activates a reaction in the chemical cell. This changes the indicator colour, showing the filter needs replacing.
